Giveaway...

Ahoy there... its giveaway time from The Vintage Valley Shop...

Up for grabs is a vintage edition of Treasure Island (one of my all time favourite books as a kid) and a Vintage Sailor inspired head/neck scarf.
All you need to do to be in the running is to leave a comment telling me your favourite book when you were growing up and the winner will be chosen at random on Tuesday 4th January.

I had many favourite books as a kid... My 2 fav' series though were Goosebumps & The baby-sitters club. I loved them & owned almost every book. I love now collecting vintage style books & coffee table books.. If I won, this book would have a lovely home amongst my many others...

Enid Blyton was a fave of mine and out of her books I would say is the Enchanted Forest first book in The Faraway Tree series :)

I loved C.S. Lewisis Narnias! We always read them with my mom first and then when I learned, I read them by myself too. They were great!

When I was really little I looooved the Little House on the Prairie series by Laura Ingles Wilder. As I'm older, I really love The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. :)

nice giveaway! i loved any agatha christie book. they were the books that me fall in love with books. the funny thing is, my mom bought these books when i was a kid hoping that i'll read them when i got older :) and i did! she knows me sooo well.

...well what first comes to mind, THE WATER BABY (by Charles Kingsley) as read by my third grade teacher Mrs Schimel.

Later on a more challenging and memorable read was KIM by Rudyard Kipling

My favorite book growing up would have to be Owl in Love by Patrice Kindl. It's a tough choice though, thinking of this brings back memories of favorites. Happy New Year!

I loved [still do, actually] Heidi & The Little Prince. I'm pretty sure I loved The Little Prince solely for the artwork [at the time]. GREAT giveaway. You can never have too many books, I always say, especially vintage ones!
